Book drive for the little ones
When
17 May 2013
Location
tpd
The Thornton Police Department has been designated as a book drop off location for the ECPAC and ACYI. There is a book drop off box located in our main lobby near the cell phone donation box. See attached flyer.
The Early Childhood Partnership of Adams County and Adams County Youth Initiative 3rd Grade Reading Action Team are focused on increasing literacy among our community’s young readers. We have asked our partners to reach out to businesses to get involved in this book drive. We hope to provide a book, literature on the importance of reading at home, and information on library resources to new kindergarten children entering school in the fall of 2013. We are specifically looking for books for PK - 3rd Grade.
The 3rd Grade Reading Action Team of the Adams County Youth Initiative (ACYI) and Early Childhood Partnership of Adams County (ECPAC) is participating in the Colorado Literacy Matters Book Drive
We will accept NEW or VERY GENTLY USED books
(Especially needed: books for children 5-8 years old, but we will ensure books for children of any age- in English or Spanish- are distributed to the children who could benefit most).
